Keep
in contact with your account manager.
Remember to call your account manager soon after your interview is
over. It's very important to let them know how you felt about the
interview while it is still fresh in your mind. You also want to be
able to share any questions or concerns prior to the account manager
talking with the employer. Should you want to pursue this position,
your account manager will help you. If you decide the position is
not for you, the account manager will contact the company for you.
Remember
to follow up. Whether you are interested in this position or not,
a "thank you" letter should be sent to the person in charge of your
interview. Keep the door open for future positions.
What
to include in your thank you letter:
- Thank
the employer for their time during the interview.
- Mention
something you learned in the interview, especially an area which
focuses on your skills.
- If
you forgot to mention something during the interview, do it now.
If they asked for any additional information or work samples, include
them with your letter.
